Kilo Hurricane was a tropical cyclone that formed in the Eastern Pacific Ocean in August 2015. It reached peak intensity as a Category 4 hurricane with maximum sustained winds of 140 mph (220 km/h).
Kilo Hurricane followed an erratic track, moving northward before curving back to the west and eventually weakening to a tropical storm. It dissipated in early September 2015.
The storm caused minimal impacts on land, affecting mainly remote islands in the Central Pacific. However, it did contribute to increased swells and surf along the coastlines of Hawaii.
Overall, Kilo Hurricane was not considered a significant threat to populated areas and did not cause any major damage or casualties.
